Management & Business Administration Scholarships

MQM Foundation Award for Citizenship and Service

For a senior majoring in MQM with a 3.0 or higher GPA and 90 or more completed hours; $100; selection of recipient is based on evidence of service to the university. Candidates are nominated by faculty from the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods each spring; the department awards committee reviews candidates' credentials and selects the recipient.

MQM Award for Outstanding Junior in Business Administration

For a junior majoring in Business Administration with a 3.3 or higher GPA and at least 62 hours completed, 20 hours of which must have been completed at Illinois State, $400; must have completed at least 6 hours in the MQM Department. Candidates are nominated by faculty from the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods each spring; the department awards committee reviews candidates' credentials and selects the recipient.

MQM Award for Outstanding Junior in Management

For a junior majoring in Management with a 3.3 GPA or higher and at least 62 hours completed, 20 hours of which must have been completed at Illinois State, $400; must have completed at least 6 hours in the MQM Department. Candidates are nominated by faculty from the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods each spring; the department awards committee reviews candidates credentials and selects the recipient.

Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies Outstanding Citizenship Award

For a student who takes an active role in promoting the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management sequences and/or the Entrepreneurship Club: $100 - $200. Primary consideration is given to those students who give their time and energy to help create learning opportunities for others. Award of Leadership in Minority Entrepreneurial Mentorship

Annual award for the outstanding minority students participating in the ESB Minority Mentorship Program with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher: $100. The recipient will be selected by an awards committee. The committee looks at GPA, activities, leadership, and professionalism. Outstanding Senior in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management

Annual award for the outstanding senior graduating in the ESB sequence of the MQM major: $250. Recipients must be graduating in May, August, or December of the calendar year; be an Illinois State University student with a declared major in ESB; and have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher with at least 20 hours completed at Illinois State. The recipient will be selected by an awards committee. The committee looks at GPA, activities, and professionalism; contact an MQM faculty member for application information.

Outstanding Undergraduate Management Student

For a senior majoring in MQM with a 3.3 GPA or higher and at least 90 hours completed; $300. Candidates are nominated by faculty from the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods each spring; the department awards committee reviews candidates' credentials and selects the recipient.

Outstanding Undergraduate Business Administration Student

For a senior majoring in Business Administration with a 3.3 GPA or higher and at least 90 hours complete: $300. Candidates are nominated by faculty from the Department of Management and Quantitative Methods each spring; the department awards committee reviews candidates' credentials and selects the recipient.

Management Scholarships External to Illinois State

MRA Institute of Management Endowment Fund Scholarship for HR Excellence: Designed to recognize and support the development of outstanding students preparing for careers in the field of human resources management. These scholarships are one-time $1,000 cash awards to be used for college expenses. Application information is available online.
