Opportunities for Incoming Freshmen
For an outstanding junior (70 - 89 hours completed) majoring in International Business with at least a 3.5 GPA, who has shown substantial commitment and service to the university and college; $300 and a plaque; candidates are nominated by faculty associated with the International Business program each spring; the International Business awards committee reviews candidates credentials and selects the recipient. Candidates must have completed at least 15 hours at Illinois State and been involved in International Business activities. For a senior majoring in International Business with a 3.5 GPA or higher and at least 90 hours completed; $400 and a plaque. Candidates are nominated by faculty associated with the International Business program each spring; the International Business awards committee reviews candidates credentials and selects the recipient. Candidates must have completed at least 30 hours at Illinois State and been involved in International Business activities. For a junior or senior in International Business with a 3.0 GPA or higher and at least 60 hours completed; $300 and a plaque. Candidates are nominated by faculty associated with the International Business program each spring; the International Business awards committee reviews candidates' credentials and selects the recipient. Candidates must have completed at least 15 hours at Illinois State and been an outstanding leader in the International Business Program, the International Business Club, and other international activities.
Eligible students will be declared International Business majors with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and have completed part of the core courses. Typically International Business students go abroad during the second semester of the junior year. As a result, they may not have taken any International Business courses by that time. The ADM funds will support a maximum of five students at $2,000 each. (pdf)
Eligible students must be declared International Business majors with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. The academic record in International Business major courses will be one of the eligibility criteria. The total amount for summer programs may vary and will depend on how many semester scholarships will be awarded. The ADM fund will support a minimum of five students at $1,000 each.
