Golden Key Scholarships & Awards

Golden Key National Honor Society is committed to the cause of recognizing and encouraging academic excellence. Members of Golden Key are eligible to benefit from one or more of the Society's many scholarship opportunities. Members may receive complete guidelines and application forms for any Golden Key scholarship program.

John Gyles Education Fund

Each year financial assistance is available to full-time students in both Canada and the United States. Full Canadian or American Citizenship is a requirement. Awards are available to both male and female students for all areas of post-secondary study. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Criteria other than strictly academic ability and financial need are considered in the selection process. Selected students will receive up to $3,000.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Students qualify if they are the son or daughter of a Marine on active duty or reserve or are the son or daughter of a former Marine or Marine Reservist who has received an honorable discharge or who was killed while in the service of our Country (family income must be $54,000 or less). Project Management Institute Educational Foundation Scholarships

Illinois State University students studying project management or a related field may be eligible for one of eight $2,000 scholarships being offered by the PMI Educational Foundation. Application forms and more information can be obtained online (application deadline is May 30).

Return to Learning Scholarships

Women residents of the Lombard, Villa Park, Oakbrook Terrace, Glendale Heights or Addison Postal Districts may qualify for one of two scholarships: One $1,500 scholarship for a woman pursuing a bachelor's degree and one $1,500 scholarship for a woman pursuing a graduate degree. The National Scholars Honor Society

Is an academic honors organization dedicated to actively encouraging, recognizing, and rewarding high academic achievement in all areas of study. Scholarship eligibility is determined for each new applicant at the time of acceptance, and is reviewed biannually. More information is available online.

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships For New Americans

Thirty fellowships for graduate study (any subject, anywhere in the United States, for up to two years) to New Americans - both immigrants (with a minimum of a green card) and the children of immigrant parents, both of whom are now naturalized citizens. The applicant must at least be a senior in college, not beyond his or her second year in graduate studies, and less than 30 years of age. Applications and additional information may be obtained.

Truckload Carriers Association Scholarship

The total amount of the scholarship will be between $1,500 to $2,500 and will be awarded in two segments each year. Any college junior or senior in good standing, who is the child, grandchild, or spouse of an employee or an employee of a trucking company, or the child, grandchild or spouse of an independent contractor or an independent contractor affiliated with a trucking company and attending an accredited four-year college or university is eligible for a scholarship. USAFunds Access to Education Scholarships

Renewable scholarships will be awarded to students with financial need. Full-time students are eligible for $1,500 awards and half-time students may qualify for $750 awards. Program details and applications are available via the web.
