Profile:

Dr. Somnath Lahiri received Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Memphis in 2007. His teaching interests are in the areas of strategic management, international management and international business. His research interests include international business and management with particular focus on firm dynamics in emerging economies.

Dr. Lahiri has made several regional, national and international conference presentations and his works have appeared (or have been accepted for publication) in Asia-Pacific Journal of Management, Business Horizons, European Business Forum, European Business Review, International Journal of Management, and Journal of International Management. He has also co-authored a book chapter on emerging economies. Dr. Lahiri teaches Organizational Strategy, Business Organizations and Management, and Introduction to International Business. Prior to his doctoral education, Dr. Lahiri served as a professional engineer for several years in India primarily in central government organizations.
