Professional Sales Institute
Michael C. Boehm is executive director Professional Sales Institute, College of Business Marketing Department of Illinois State University. Mike is the 1st full time executive director to lead the Professional Sales Institute in more than 7 years of Institute History. He became executive director on March 23, 2009.
Prior to his appointment as Executive Director he served as District Sales Manager for FinishMaster, Inc. He was responsible for a $13M district comprising of Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
A native of Illinois, Mike began his professional sales career with E. I. DuPont in1969 automotive refinish paints aftermarket sales, based in Peoria, IL; 1979 to 1983 Mike was responsible for DuPont's Milwaukee, WI sales district; creating & instructing a "DuPont first", an in-field sales & product training center. Following his 15 years with DuPont, he moved to establishing his own entrepreneurial enterprise and did a start up of a B2B business in Peoria, IL establishing paint and materials supply relationships with car dealers, collision repair centers & manufacturers throughout central Illinois. In 1992, he joined Sherwin Williams Automotive paints in Milwaukee, WI. 1994 Mike accepted the opportunity of Wholesale Account Manager with Akzo Nobel, Inc. (The sponsors of the Nobel peace prize), 22 months later he was responsible for the largest company owned store in the U.S. for Akzo in Chicago, IL. In 1998, Mike joined the launch team for a new brand of aftermarket coatings that Akzo was bringing to the U.S. as Business Development Manager. In 2003 Mike joined FinishMaster as Business Development Manager.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University.
