Development: Faculty: International Business Institute

The International Business Institute (IBI) at Illinois State University provides faculty development opportunities for teaching and research In different areas of international business. The IBI Institute focuses on creating relationships with International and U.S. schools, faculty and companies to create new and expand on the existing professional development opportunities for the faculty. Every year faculty participate in the faculty exchange programs with oru partner institutions. They present their research at international conferences, and they teach at foreign universities.

The IBI hosts visitng scholars and faculty from our partner institutions.

The IBI supports these efforts since the expertise that faculty develop benefits all of our students in the College of Business.

Several of our faculty attended various programs at these schools. We also hosted international faculty from the schools we created partnership with. The IBI Institute has faculty exchange partnerships with schools in France, Germany, Japan, and Thailand.

The IBI Institute hosts symposiums focusing on international aspects of business. The recent symposium focused on "American-Japanese Business Relationships" which was conducted at College of Business.

The IBI Institute also aims to create opportunities and collaborations for business outreach activities for the faculty. We are in the process of developing these relationships.
