Joseph Solberg's teaching interesting are in the areas of business law, the legal environment of business, labor law, ethics, research interests in the area of teaching pedagogy and employment law.

He is a member of the Midwest Business Law and American Business Law Associations and has published in Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Legal Studies Education, Midwest Law Review, and Labor Law Quarterly. He received a grant for a project titled "Ethics and the Life Insurance Professional."
