Profile:

George Flanigan is the Insurance Industry Professor. His teaching interests are property and liability insurance, risk management, and principles of insurance. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Risk and Insurance Management Society, the College of Insurance, and other insurance institutes.

Flanigan has completed a term as president of the Southern Risk and Insurance Association, is frequently called upon to provide expert testimony in insurance-related cases, and serves as a referee for several academic journals. He has published articles in Journal of Risk and Insurance, CPCU Journal, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Financial Education, Journal of Business Research and Journal of Insurance Regulation.
