Profile:

Sylvie Bouriaux's research and teaching interests include fixed-income markets, insurance risk, and the convergence in financial and insurance services. Prior to coming to Illinois State University, she was with the Chicago Board of Trade for 10 years, last serving as Director of Strategy. Prior to that she directed research and product that she directed research and product development in the financial products area in CBOT, focusing on new product development in fixed income and equitites as well as in the 'nontraditonal' area (insurance, credit derivatives).

In early 1999, she co-edited and co-authored the book Securitized Insurance Risk: Strategic Opportunites for Insurers and Investors. She also coauthored The Insurance Derivatives Market and Securitization published by Euromoney Books and Had published in Review of Futures Market and Financial Futures Professional.
