As another academic year draws to a close, it is a good time to review accomplishments and the work of so many who made them possible. The activities of our teams were the focus of our faculty meeting on April 19th, and I will use this message to summarize several topics we discussed that day.

In 2006 BusinessWeek magazine launched its first ranking of the best undergraduate business schools. The process was modeled after their MBA ranking method which consists primarily of self-reported data from participating schools and surveys assessing satisfaction from students and employers. Norris Porter assumed responsibility for our participation in the 2007 ranking process.
“Although we’re pleased overall with the results, clearly there are specific things we can do to improve our outcomes in the next survey,” he explained.
At the first sign of spring, business gets pretty hectic at Vitesse Cycle Shop in Normal. Although the employees know what bikes they have in stock, sometimes locating a specific model quickly can be difficult.
