A Message from the Dean

The weather is frigid but we seem to have plenty of energy flowing through the College of Business Building.  I hope your first few weeks have been good ones and that your semester break was rejuvenating. And all across campus there is growing excitement about the beginning of our 150th Anniversary celebrations on Founder’s Day.

Many exciting developments are happening within our college as well..

Service Learning Opportunities Expand

Illinois State University has a strong record of commitment to the American Democracy Project, a cooperative effort by students, faculty, staff and administration that promotes civic engagement through organized service activities. Students in Dale Fitzgibbons’ MQM 380 class, Teams and Team Building, are at the heart of the action with the Project Redbird Outreach Program. Members of his class are creating and maintaining a website to foster connections between the campus and community. Local non-profit and social service agencies can post special needs they have on the website. Faculty members can review those listings and develop service learning projects that correlate with courses they teach.
