The building has several areas that were designed to provide specialized learning environments for students and our corporate partners. We invite you to explore our special use rooms and areas in "The new Center of Business in Central Illinois."
This Classroom recognizes our commitment to life-long learning and continuing education. This classroom's primary role is to encourage interaction with and instruction for our business partners. Its secondary role is to provide a state-of-the-art capability to connect with other colleges, universities, and businesses using IP/Network-based connectivity to run joint training sessions for remote locations.
The Executive Classroom provides an executive training environment for business leaders and an opportunity for interaction with our students during their visits. This area of the building supports catering and spaces for relaxed conversation between sessions.

Each student seat in the classroom is equipped with both a network jack and a power outlet to facilitate laptop use. Wireless access to the network is also available.
This classroom was designed to support the shared governance goals of the University and college providing a unique space for large group meetings. The room seats 28 and will be used to host advisory councils, committees, and other gatherings. This area of the building supports catering and spaces for relaxed conversation between sessions. The room may also be used in conjunction with the Executive Classroom to host corporate meetings and events by our business partners.
The audio visual system in this room is similar to that found in the other classrooms in the building:
Provides a large 200 seat classroom to support lecture format instruction and public forums with business partners and executives.
The room is equipped similarly to other classrooms with larger screens and a more powerful projector system to match the larger room space:
This is the only classroom space that is not equipped with networking and power for each student seat. This area has wireless technology.
The Lab is the home of the Finance, Insurance and Law Department's Educational Investment Fund, a student managed, real dollar portfolio. The room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the latest in financial software, including a Bloomberg financial analysis computer with access to real-time financial markets information.

Additionally, each student seat in the classroom is equipped with both a network jack and a power outlet to facilitate laptop use. At occupancy we have conserved funds by activating approximately a third of the student connections and will expand these as appropriate to match student use. This is supplemented by wireless technology.
Provides observation and multimedia capabilities allowing the Marketing Department to pursue marketing research by training students to conduct group interactions with videotaping and presentation capability. This specialized facility represents one of the most advanced learning labs between Chicago and St. Louis.
To facilitate this effort the room is designed with a three-camera system feeding to an advanced recording system. This allows for review of both the presentation methods and the reactions of the participants.
In addition to this recording system the room boasts basically the same presentation technology found in our other classrooms including a LCD Projector: 2000 lumens, high resolution and an Instructional Console with:
Provides video systems for both individual and group sales presentations including video editing, playback, and an area for debriefing. This suite of rooms represents our most advanced learning support environment.
The suite is designed to allow simulation of both group and individual sales experiences with the capability to video tape from each of the simulation rooms, provide playback for individual critique and to assist others through playback in a debriefing room to reinforce lessons learned.
