Caterpillar Auditorium

The Caterpillar Auditorium provides a large, 200-seat classroom to support lecture format instruction and public forums with business partners and executives. Located on the first level adjacent to the atrium, each of the comfortable theater-style seats is equipped with a tablet arm for note taking.

The room is also equipped with presentation technology and a sound system that will support presentations and an active learning environment.

The room is equipped similarly to other classrooms with larger screens and a more powerful projector system to match the larger room space:

  • LCD Projector: 4700 lumens, high resolution
  • 15” control touch panel which controls room resources and acts as the computer monitor. Additionally provides annotation capability to allow the instructor to highlight key information on any of the projected sources
  • Computer – Exact same software as on student computers
  • VCR
  • Document Camera
  • DVD in computer
  • Laptop hookup for image, audio and networking
  • ALS Sound system to amplify room sounds and project to Infrared headphones used by hearing impaired students

The Caterpillar Auditorium is located on the first level of the building in room 139. There is also access to the auditorium from the 2nd level. This is the only classroom space that is not equipped with networking and power for each student seat. This area is equipped with wireless technology.
