College of Business Computer Labs

Spring 2008 COB Lab Hours:

  • Monday - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday- 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • Thursday - 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday - 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The following computer labs, located in the lower level of the College of Business, are available to business students and faculty:

Each of these rooms are for classroom and open lab usage. When reserving a classroom, please contact lab staff if you have any questions concerning the particular room you will be teaching in. Printing is available in the classroom during scheduled class times only. All machines in the lab run Windows XP and MS office, along with more specialized programs.

Each classroom is equipped with a full multimedia instructor console that includes a computer, document camera, VCR, DVD (through the computer) and ceiling-mounted projection system. We request that you see us for training if you need to use these systems.

The open lab is available during scheduled lab hours to faculty, staff, and College of Business students. All machines in the lab run Windows XP and MS office. A variety of software requested by COB faculty is also available. In addition we have special group work tables along the north side of the lab that are equipped with Adobe Create Suite.

The following policies are in effect:

  • No food or drink is permitted in the labs at any time.
  • Use of the College of Business labs is restricted to College of Business students only.
  • Printing should be completed 15 minutes prior to closing of the labs.
  • Internet usage falls under the University Acceptable Use Policy.
  • The reproduction of copyrighted materials, including proprietary software, is subject to United States federal laws. Software licensed to the College of Business may not be copied by students, staff, or faculty.
  • Contamination of computer equipment with destructive materials such as viruses is expressly forbidden. Illinois State University will prosecute this criminal activity to the fullest extent possible. We reserve the right to scan any disks entering the lab.
  • In the event of a fire, or any emergency situation that requires evacuation from the building, students must leave the lab immediately.
  • Please report any damaged equipment to the lab monitor on duty.
  • And finally, please do not feed the lab monitors or lab staff.
