Who can schedule an appointment with a COB Advisor?

Students who have a declared College of Business major and have earned a minimum of 24 hours are advised in the College of Business Advisement Center.

General and first year students who wish to declare a business major are advised in University College Academic Advisement until they have met the requirements and are admitted into the College of Business.

When should I schedule an appointment?

During registration, advisors will be seen on a first come, first serve walk-in basis in the morning, and take appointments in the afternoon. Avoid the waiting in line and make an appointment prior to registration. Advisors are available for long term planning appointments all semester. Appointments are only made one week in advance. Call the College of Business Advisement Center at (309) 438-8385 to make an appointment today.

Please remember to be courteous and cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you are unable to attend. No-shows take appointment times away from other students. College of Business majors who do not show up for their appointments will not be allowed to make another planning appointment; they will have to visit the Center during their advisor's walk-in hours during advance registration.

  • Kathy Schmidt will assist Business Administration majors with last names M-Z and Management majors.
  • Nancy Baldoni will assist Finance, Insurance, and Business Teacher Education majors.
  • Diane Skidmore will assist Accounting and Business Information Systems majors.
  • Marilyn Turner will assist Marketing majors with last names G-Z and International Business majors.
  • Chris Knuth will assist Marketing majors with last names A-F and Business Administration majors with last names A-L.
