Arrange an internship with an employer Internships are arranged between the employer and the students. The students schedule interviews with the employers at each others convenience. Many employers come to campus for interviews. Internships require 60 hours of work for each hour of credit. You can get up to 6 hours of internship credit.
Complete the Department of Accounting Employment Verification Form, and Waiver of Liability Form, andInsurance Coverage Form
Internship employer contacts the Internship Coordinator Once you have secured the internship, you need to have the employer contact the Internship Coordinator, Harlan Fuller, with a confirmation and a job description. Mr. Fuller's e-mail address is .

Obtain registration permit If the internship qualifies for the academic rigor for internship credit, the internship coordinator will forward the information to the Department of Accounting academic advisor, Diane Skidmore. The academic advisor will put in a permit to register. You should also check with the academic advisor regarding registering for the appropriate class (Acc298, Acc398, or Acc498), based on your class standing. Once the permit to register has been entered, you will then need to register for the appropriate internship course through the regular registration system.
Complete Internship Paper At the end of the internship, you need to turn in a 10 page paper about the internship. Please request an outline for the paper and discuss the format of the paper with the Internship Coordinator will give you an outline to help with this process.
